MONSTA X (Hangul: 몬스타엑스) is a seven-member South Korean hip-hop boy group under Starship Entertainment formed in 2015. It consists of members Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. Before their debut, the boys participed in the survival show ‘NO.MERCY’ and gaining the chance to debut under ‘MONSTA X’. The group name has the double meaning of monsters conquering the K-POP scene and my star (MON means ‘my’ in French). X is an unknown existence.
